The Rupani backyard was a mess of wildflowers and washed away mulch before we started in the back.

After we cleared the lot, we began with building forms for the foundations of the walls.

Foundation prep

We built a pondless waterfall, installed a poured concrete patio with inset flagstone, built steps to a small elevated sitting garden, designed and installed a drought tolerant low maintenance garden, and created pathways to join the various areas

Privacy hedges, phormeum, a variety of blooming trees, and slope stabilizing plantings were chosen. Notice the inset sandstone pieces in the splitface walls.

In time, the various ground covers and grasses will soften the effects of the rocks

We also did some work in the front

A terraced garden in the front utilizing a variety of rock materials and drought tolerant plantings
